Su Tok Yi, 85, of Overland Park, KS, peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3rd in Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, MO.
Su Tok Yi was born July 26, 1934 in Hwanghae province in Korea. She married Song Kwan Yi in 1956 and had four children. She and her family immigrated to The United States in 1974 and settled in Blue Springs, Missouri, where she and her husband started and ran their own businesses for many years. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed reading her Bible more than any other hobby.
She is survived by her two daughters: Yong Gagnon, and Un Chong Christopher; two daughters-in-law: Young Ok Yi and Fabiola Yi; two sons-in-law: Gene Gagnon and Charles Christopher; nine grandchildren: Geoffrey, Annie, Michael, Thomas, Un Joo, Eddie, Ben, Rebecca, and Pamela; and eleven great-grandchildren: Grace, Audrey, Walter, John, Henry, Albert, Isaac, Chloe, Claire, Charlotte, and Jack.
