Thomas Ratterree

Thomas (Tom) Ratterree passed away peacefully in his home on September 11, 2023.

Thomas was born and immediately dubbed “our favorite son” to Craig and Susie Ratterree on June 13, 1980, in Kansas City, MO. He spent his childhood playing sports and video games, working on cars and spending time with friends.

He is survived by his wife, Cassidy Ratterree; and his proudest accomplishments, his children; Gracie Ratterree and Colton Ratterree, and his step daughter Lily Wright. Additionally, he is survived by his parents; Craig and Susie Ratterree; and his much more attractive and cooler sister, Kirsten Ratterree; his favorite nephew, Peyton and, favorite niece, Kady.

Thomas spent 23 years working at Ford Motor Company, where he made lots of friends, and probably some enemies. He also enjoyed working on cars, specifically Mustangs, hunting and teasing his family. He loved spending time at Truman Lake and was passionate about hunting and nature conservation. He also loved football, specifically the MU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints but despised the Kansas City Chiefs.

His regrets were few but include spotlighting that deer in the Fall of 2005 and that no video evidence exists of his prowess on the football field.

An open house style Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 24th from 12:00-4:00 P.M. at Legacy Park Shelter 2 located at 1801 NE Coneflower Dr, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086. The family is requesting attendees bring a photo of Thomas with a memory written on the back.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Theodore Roosevelt Foundation Partnership at https://www.trcp.org/

Obituary submitted by the family.
