Wayne R. Myers


Wayne Ramsey Myers of Concordia, Mo, passed away February 18, 2022.  Wayne was born January 3, 1956, to George and Norma Jean Myers in Wellington, KS. He grew up in Derby, KS. Wayne was married to Tami La Hue. They began their 45-year love story when they met in college at Wichita State. After their marriage they lived in Prairie Village, KS where they had 2 sons. He finished college at Avila College and received his Doctorate from Cleveland Chiropractic College. After graduation they moved to Blue Springs where their daughter was born to complete their beautiful family. Wayne opened up Concordia Chiropractic Center in Concordia, MO. He commuted for a few years before the family moved to Concordia, MO. He practiced up to his death. Wayne didn’t feel he worked a day in his life as he served the community as the local Chiropractor. He dedicated over 36 years of his life to enhancing the lives of others through chiropractic care and genuinely enjoyed educating his patients on how to maintain good overall health. He loved and cared for his patients as family. Wayne was devoted to his family and found true joy when his granddaughters came along. Wayne was active in the community through cub and boy scouts as leader and Scout Master, softball and baseball coach, and the local Lions club. Wayne was a member of St. Paul’s Church, Concordia Lion’s Club, and Missouri Chiropractic Physicians Association. His presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents George and Norma Jean Myers and his brother Steve Myers.

Wayne is survived by his wife Tami Myers of Concordia, MO, son Anthony Myers of Sweet Springs, MO, son Scott Myers of Concordia, MO, daughter Samantha (Jerod) Hughey of Higginsville, MO, granddaughters Cora and Emberly Hughey, sister Cindi (Steve) Winder of Wichita KS, brother Mike (Shirley) Myers of Augusta, KS.

Memorial services will be Saturday, February 26th at 12:00 at St. Paul’s Church in Concordia, MO. The family suggests donations to American Cancer Society or Hope Lodge of Kansas City in lieu of flowers.
