Willie Lacey Kaylor


Willie “Lacey” Kaylor, Oak Grove, MO; formerly of Independence MO, passed from this life March 18, 2024 at age 88.  Lacey was born in Sumner, Mississippi to David and Elon Mae Duke. 

Lacey was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years John Kaylor Sr; her parents David and Elon Mae Duke; her siblings DL Duke, Julia Alice Stone, Mary Lea Kaylor, Moreen Barnett and daughter Iris Harris. She is survived by her children Jerry Kaylor (Debbie), Jeff Kaylor (Lori), Donnie Kaylor (Debbie); grandchildren Matt Kaylor (Stefanie), Mandi Forlow (Michael), Leigh Kaylor, Alicia Powell (Cory), Nate Kaylor, Joe Kaylor, Chris Kaylor, Catie Kaylor. Lacey also leaves behind eight sweet great- grandchildren, Jaxon, Hanah, Jacee, Ali, Bret, Riley, Aubree, and Tate.

For many years Lacey worked at Nationwide Paper Co. and TWA, where she retired. She was a deaf interpreter where her and her husband worked with the deaf in many capacities including many of the church’s they helped start across the Kansas City Metro. 

Lacey was loved dearly and will truly be missed. 

Visitation from 2:00-3:30 Sunday March 24th at Royer Funeral home in Grain Valley. Help us celebrate Lacey by wearing Royals or Chiefs.  At her request, there will be a private gravesite service.
